The timber is certified as sustainable under the PEFC scheme. An independent assessment by FIRA has accredited the company with the only ergonomic excellence award for UK garden company. This relates to the safety in the form of construction and the curved seat shape designed for lumbar support.

In addition to thousands of satisfied private individuals as customers, they have supplied several public bodies which include the BBC, Care Home Groups, the NHS, British Waterways, NFU, Government Agencies and the National Trust. They also exhibit at the major Royal Horticultural Society Shows, such as Chelsea Flower Show and Hampton Court.

Pepe Garden Furniture are a British company established in 1992 and based on the edge of the Cotswolds in the centre of England. In the 1980’s they began building strong connections with Finland by starting to import Finnish log cabins which they still import to the UK. In 1988 they also started to introduce exterior furniture and since then have developed as a family firm of designers and manufacturers.

The idea of the range is that it has a natural and solid appearance to blend sympathetically into a garden setting. It’s ruggedness and the ability for the pieces to be left outside all year make the range suitable as solid family kit without being too precious or pretentious.

The timber is Baltic Pine (Pinus Sylvestris) and is slow grown in the harsh Finnish climate making it considerably closer grained than UK or temperate grown. The result is a dense, long lasting and machineable material which is pressure impregnated at the sawmill to give it protection from rot and decay for up to twenty years.
